Caramelised Onions
c onions, sliced thin on mandolin or with food processor attachment
¼ c olive oil
¼ c tamari or Braggs
5 soft dates
1 T lemon juice
Filtered water, as needed, about ¼ - 1/3 cup
Blend oil, tamari or Braggs, dates and lemon juice in blender or Vita-mix. If needed, add water to make it like a thick cream and not the consistency of butter.
Transfer mix and sliced onions to a bowl and mix thoroughly. Dehydrate on a non-stick dehydrator tray at 40C for 2 -3 hours.
